‘Trainspotting’ was one of those epic movies of the ’90s that you simply couldn’t get out of your head. The book by Irvine Welsh, which was flawlessly written in the exact same way Scots would enunciate the words, was just as amazing as the movie; but, of course, seeing it come to life was a whole new different level – and at a time when I hadn’t seen a lot of movies about drug addiction yet, it really opened my eyes to a lot of things. And that bathroom scene with Renton – who could ever forget that?
Well, the whole original cast of ‘Trainspotting’ will be back in ‘Trainspotting 2’! Ewan McGregor as Renton, Ewen Bremner as Spud, Jonny Lee Miller as Sick Boy, and, of course, Robert Carlyle are all back 20 years later and I absolutely cannot wait for the movie! Watch the trailer with a similar ‘Choose Life’ narration as the first (but more fitting for 2016) here:
‘T2 Trainspotting’ will be in cinemas early next year. Who else is excited for this?
