First dates are already nerve-wracking as it is, but when you add into the mix the limitations brought upon by the “new normal,” oh boy. It can get awkward!
Manila-based restaurant Tipsy Pig played around with this thought, and released this cute, funny short film titled, “First Date.” In this short, you’ll first see a guy in Tipsy Pig, checking his phone. A text message reads, “I’m here na. Naka-denim dress.” Which suggests he is meeting his date for the first time ever! Meanwhile, you see the girl about to enter the Tipsy Pig, going through new normal safety protocols like registering, getting her temperature checked, and sanitizing her hands.
The whole first meeting was composed of awkward “should we or should we not beso” instances, plus some funny antics from the nervous leading guy. Go watch it below!

We might all be living in a different world now (at least for the meantime), but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t still enjoy the good, little things now like having a first date with someone you like. Just be sure to always follow health and safety protocols!
