WATCH: This Spoken Word Poetry About OCD is so Beautiful We’re Crying

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

The mental illness is a tough one to bear, that’s for sure. Irrational obsession and habits that are so controlling it can actually hinder with one’s life. It can be debilitating at times. I’ve read somewhere long ago, though, that sometimes, the darkness that have been given to us are actually gifts in disguise. And in this beautiful spoken word by poet Neil Hilborn, that can easily be the case.

In the moving piece, Neil talks about having OCD, meeting a girl, falling in love, and the role this disorder plays in their relationship. But not all things can stay perfect forever, and so when things started to go downhill, wellI’ll leave it to you to find out how it ends.
