After the first official trailer for Disney’s new live-action project came out, reactions were a bit mixed. Some parts looked like the Aladdin we all know and love, while some looked… disappointing. And don’t even get me started on the whole confusing mess that was Will Smith’s Genie. But that’s all in the past now since this new trailer definitively shows us that yes, this is something we should be excited for.
Aladdin has been one of my favorite Disney movies for as long as I can remember. So trust me when I say that seeing Agrabah come to life is so instantly fulfilling in this trailer. The world they created truly looks to be mystical and the accompaniment of the enchanting score only makes it better. The characters have always been captivating and the way the actors play them out on screen assure you they will do them justice. All the different elements, from choreography to blocking to costumes, work in harmony to produce magic come to life.

My only complaint would be the heavy-handed use of auto-tune, but you can judge that for yourself:
