WATCH: Queen, Adam Lambert sing ‘Lockdown Version’ of this song

Queen and Adam Lambert sing a “lockdown version” of their song, We Are the Champions. In a YouTube video uploaded to the band’s channel, they re-imagine the iconic song as they pay tribute to COVID-19 frontliners.

The new version is called You Are The Champions, dedicated to all the frontliners and health workers who are currently fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. The video also featured clips of frontliners in hospitals and people with their thank you messages for them.

Brian May, Roger Taylor, and Adam Lambert have joined forces to perform the song. You Are The Champions was also released to raise money for the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.

Queen and Adam Lambert were supposed to go on the European leg of the Rhapsody Tour but were forced to postpone the event due to the pandemic. The song was recorded while the singers were all self-isolating in different cities.
