Parkour or freerunning is something that has been growing as a sport within the last decade. One of the more active communities of parkour in the Philippines is Parkour Bacolod, which started in December 2007 and has since spread the love and passion of parkour throughout the whole province of Negros.
Through the video below, Parkour Bacolod hopes to inspire others to go beyond their fears and conquer them on both a mental and physical level.

Probably the best thing about parkour is the fact that you don’t need a lot of gear to start. All you need is your own feet – shoes optional. “Parkour is not just about jumping on buildings as other people think, though,” says Parkour Bacolod.
“It is more than that. It has to do with completing a FLOW (a combination of moves and connecting it smoothly), and it requires creativity, technicality and originality. You won’t just become physically fit; you’ll become mentally fit, too – and that is what parkour all about.
Freedom. No rules. No right or wrong. You are the paintbrush and the world is your canvas.”
