Lola Amour has been enjoying viral fame with their song “Raining in Manila.” It’s been used in a lot of viral TikTok videos, Jungwon and Jake of ENHYPEN listened to it on a WeVerse Live, and billboards encouraging people to stream it on Spotify popped up in some LRT stations. The song even earned the most single-day streams for a Filipino song on Spotify Philippines’ chart history.
Here’s another achievement to add to a growing list: Michael V is doing a parody of it.

Michael V.’s parody is called “Waiting Here sa Pila,” where he plays Lolo Kanor. It features the well-loved tune of “Raining in Manila” with new lyrics.
“Waiting Here sa Pila” is set to drop on September 10, 2023, at 6 PM.
Michael V., also known as Bitoy, has spoofed many well-known songs throughout his career. His greatest parody hits include “Bathroom Dance” (from Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance”), “Gayahin Mo Sila” (from Ex Battalion’s “Hayaan Mo Sila”), “Uh-oh” (from UDD’s “Oo”), “Mamaw” (from Kamikazee’s “Narda”), “Takubets” (from Imago’s “Taralets”), and “Ulam” (from Cueshe’s “Ulan”), among many others.
