Kim Chiu has collaborated with dancing sensation DJ Loonyo to officially create choreography for her newest hit “Bawal Lumabas.”

In a vlog she posted on Monday, May 25, Kim launched the “Bawal Lumabas Galaw Challenge” after DJ Loonyo agreed to create the “OG steps” for the song.

“I want to do it because I want to be a part of your movement na that’s really inspiring,” DJ Loonyo told Kim in the video. “From that point in your life or that situation in your life na talagang […] ang hirap ibangon noon, one snap parang buong Pilipinas nakalimutan lahat ng tamang ginawa mo sa buong buhay because they focus on that mistake. After days or a week, bumangon ka bigla, you came back stronger. Sabi ko it’s really inspiring, lalo na ngayon ang daming taong nalulugmok, ang daming taong nado-down dahil sa nangyayari. Might as well take your energy kung paano ka bumangon.”

He also explained how he came up with his steps which he said was based on the hand gestures of Kim during her viral interview. He even made his own behind-the-scenes video showing the making of his dance!

DJ Loonyo also shared what he first thought about Kim’s viral gaffe from a live interview she did weeks ago wherein she blurted out a rather confusing statement comparing the ABS-CBN Network shutdown to a classroom setting.

“Kasi noong nakita ko ang interview mo, normal naman ‘yon e, hindi naman tayo perpekto e. Kahit ako minsan ‘pag nagla-live ako, ‘pag sobra-sobra yung emosyon, may gusto tayong ilabas, pero alam mo ‘yun, sa sobrang emosyon na nangyayari and then nawawala ang technical na parts. Pero it’s okay. Binig-deal ng tao and ginawan ng memes and all,” he said.

He added that he didn’t want to join the trend of making memes about Kim’s viral statement because he didn’t want to hurt his fellow artists. “Sa akin, marami namang music na puwede. Pero kung ikakasama ng kapwa mo, tulad mong artists, hindi puwede ‘yung ganoon. Para sa akin, no.
