The Lakers made headlines over social media again, but for the wrong reasons.
In their 118-116 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers the other day, D’Angelo Russell, who is the Lakers’ leading scorer with 15.2 points per game, botched a possession all by himself.
After Lakers forward Julius Randle inbounded to him, Russell waited a few seconds before picking up the ball to try to get a 2-for-1 opportunity before halftime.
Unfortunately, it didn’t go as planned.

In some instances that becomes an advantage because it saves you precious time off of the clock, especially during crucial moments of a game. But it didn’t go Russell’s way there.
That play pretty much summed up the Lakers season.
See you on Shaqtin’ a Fool, D’Lo!
