UNZIP: Teatro Tomasino’s 37th Season Twinbill Recruitment Production
Teatro Tomasino, the university-wide theater guild of the University of Santo Tomas, launches its 37th season with a twinbill recruitment production entitled “Unzip”– featuring Palanca award-winning play “20 Questions” written by Juan Ekis and a modern-day classic play “Over A Cup Of Coffee” written by Vincent de Jesus, under the direction of our honorary member, Kat Dawang.
“20 Questions” encompasses a game that would serve as the answer to their lifelong search for the value of love over sex and for the person who would fill in their emptiness.
“Over a Cup of Coffee” touches a mother and son relationship which is to be tested through a son’s revelation during their morning discussion.
“Unzip” is a drama and comedy portrayal of intimate confessions that would lead to a deeper understanding and acceptance of themselves. It aims to awaken the Filipino society that there are certain taboos that must be broken in the modern time. The production runs from July 30 to 31, 2014 with performances at 10am, 1pm, 4pm and 7pm at the Tan Yan Kee Auditorium, University of Santo Tomas.
