The 10th National Architecture Symposium will be hosted by the Architecture Network (ARCHINET), a recognized student organization of the College of Architecture in the University of Santo Tomas, on March 10, 2018 at the Samsung Hall, SM Aura Premier, Bonifacio Global City, Manila. The said symposium is the highlight of the 6-day National Architecture Jamboree, with invited international delegates, along with Archinet’s 1st Manila Architecture Festival to be held on March 9, 2018, at the UST Field near Beato Angelico Building.

The annual symposium began in 2009 where Archinet has invited distinguished architects like Ar. Kengo Kuma, Ar. IngeGoudsmit, Ar. Chan Hui Min, Ar. Ken Yeang, and more, from all over the world to inspire practitioners of the architectural profession, wherein over 500 architectural students and professionals nationwide attend every year.

The 10th National Architecture Symposium is themed “Unifying Barriers” with the intent of connecting various fields and aligning them to architecture. In line with this, Archinet has invited three iconic speakers to share insight on the profession: Prof. Jason Pomeroy of Pomeroy Studio, a TV personality, a forefront in sustainable architecture who participated in global conferences and events, including TEDx and the World Architecture Festival, Ar. Claude Godefroy of Henning Larsen Architects who has joined and won several international competitions including the international iconic building design competition for Bonifacio Global City, Manila, Philippines, and Ar. Carlos Arnaiz, the founder and principal of CAZA architects who has works and writings featured in different magazines like ARCHITECT magazine, Metropolis, Kerb, Dialogue, and 50UNDER50.

In celebration of Archinet’s 12th year, they will be holding their 1st Manila Architecture Festival with invited guest speakers from various professions to speak in “ARCHIVE” powered by Pecha Kucha, UAPSApan Dialogues by UAPSA-UST, A Business Talk hosted by SCARLET-ARKI, FOCUS: an architecture and photography exhibit by ARKITRATO-UST, workshops by Ar. Jason Pomeroy and Ar. Carlos Soler, and networking booth.

With the collective efforts of various student organizations in the College of Architecture, the 3rd National Jamboree is a chance to discover insights of the field through a collaboration of ideas, exploration of experiences and connections in unity.
