Looking for a gift that’s beautiful, meaningful, and helps children in need? UNICEF Philippines has teamed up with Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan (Ang INK), the country’s pioneering group of children’s illustrators, to launch the Hiraya collection—a fresh line of all-occasion cards and merchandise that directly supports programs for Filipino children.

The word Hiraya means deep hope and aspiration—a fitting name for this collection that celebrates childhood, creativity, and the promise of a brighter future.
For the first time, UNICEF is introducing an all-occasion line of greeting cards, moving beyond its traditional holiday collection. Each limited-edition piece is designed by Ang INK artists and inspired by their fondest childhood memories, making every purchase a touching gift with purpose.
Carmen Gonzalez Ortiz, UNICEF Philippines chief of the private sector fundraising, shares:
“We are constantly looking for creative and meaningful ways to drive more support for children. The Hiraya collection is a perfect example of how art and advocacy can come together to tell stories of children all year round and promote life-changing programs.”
Creativity for a cause
Three artists from Ang INK contributed to the debut designs:
-
Iori Espiritu: “Sama-Sama, Salo-Salo” depicts children gathering food, symbolizing her hope that every child has access to proper nutrition.
-
Kat Melo: “Sayaw ng Santan” draws from playful afternoons making flower bracelets, capturing joy and carefreeness.
-
Al Estrella: “Pangalawang Tahanan” highlights education as every child’s right, with classrooms as their second home.
These illustrations bring color to cards and tote bags while carrying powerful stories of what every child deserves.
