IT’S OFFICIAL: Season 3 of ‘The Umbrella Academy’ is Happening

Season 2 of ‘The Umbrella Academy’ just ended a few months ago and while it ended with a cliffhanger, there actually wasn’t any confirmation that there would be a Season 3 yet. In fact, I got to interview the showrunner, Steve Blackman, via Zoom a few months ago and he admitted a third season wasn’t set in stone yet. But that is no longer the case!

Just two hours ago, the official Instagram account of ‘The Umbrella Academy’ posted a photo of the famous umbrella logo on the number 3 along with the caption: “Oh, my God! We’re back! Again! It’s official. Production for S3 of ‘The Umbrella Academy’ begins in February.”

David Castañeda, who plays Diego in the show, also posted the photo on his Instagram with the caption “Bihhh.” That pretty much sums up how we feel right now, too. Since production isn’t starting until February, though, it will clearly still take a while for the third season to stream. Time to rewatch the previous seasons, perhaps?
