Filming for Spider-Man: Brand New Day has been put on pause after lead star Tom Holland was reportedly rushed to the hospital following a stunt gone wrong on set.
According to reports, the actor suffered a fall while filming at Leavesden Studios in Watford last Friday, which resulted in a concussion. He was quickly transported to the hospital by ambulance. Production for the £150 million (roughly ₱10.7 billion) blockbuster has since been suspended to allow Holland time to recover.

Holland’s father, Dominic, confirmed during a charity dinner in Mayfair that his son would be stepping away from filming “for a while.” The update comes just months after Marvel and Sony had already pushed the film’s release date back to July 31, 2026, which may now be delayed even further.
The incident hasn’t stopped Holland from making public appearances, though. He was spotted with fiancée and co-star Zendaya at the same charity event over the weekend.
Holland and Zendaya, who first sparked romance rumors while working together on Spider-Man: Homecoming back in 2016, will once again be sharing the screen in Brand New Day.

Zendaya has been seen supporting Holland on set in recent months, even visiting during shoots at Brookwood Cemetery in Surrey. Fans also got an exciting teaser earlier this year when Marvel released a clip unveiling Holland’s updated Spidey suit, sparking plenty of debate online about the new design.
Aside from Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Holland has a packed schedule ahead. He and Zendaya are also working together on Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, a highly anticipated adaptation of Homer’s epic.
For now, though, all eyes are on Holland’s recovery. With fans eagerly waiting for Peter Parker’s next adventure, the hope is that their favorite friendly neighborhood Spider-Man will be back on his feet and back on set soon.
