Timotheé Chalamet and Armie Hammer are both starring in the Call Me By Your Name sequel

If you loved the critically-acclaimed film Call Me by Your Name, here’s something to be happy about: main actors Timotheé Chalamet and Armie Hammer are both returning to star in the film’s sequel.

Released in 2017, Call Me by Your Name follows the heartbreaking story of Elio, a young boy who falls in love with his father’s graduate assistant somewhere in Northern Italy. In the movie, Timotheé Chalamet plays Elio, while Armie Hammer plays Oliver.

The author of Call Me by Your Name, André Aciman, recently released the sequel to the novel. With this, director Luca Guadagnino confirmed that a movie starring the original actors is also in the works. However, the director mentioned that its production is on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Guadagnino also says that other actors from the first movie will also be in the sequel. He has also met with a scriptwriter to work on the sequel.
