DITO Mobile Postpaid FLEXPlan: Our review
We wanted to test out DITO Mobile Postpaid FLEXPlan ourselves, so we got the FLEXPlan P888 with Samsung Galaxy S23. We’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now, and so far, here’s what we think.
1. Quick and easy postpaid application
We were impressed from the get-go at how easy it was to apply for a DITO Mobile Postpaid FLEXPlan. You can simply do so via the DITO App, which you can download on any smartphone. You can also head to DITO Experience Stores or Device Retail Partner Stores that are available nationwide.
And you only need to prepare three things: 1 valid ID, Proof of Financial Capacity (Certificate of Employment, Credit Card Bill Statement, etc.), and Proof of Billing. For applications via the DITO App, you will also be asked to take a selfie.

2. Premium yet affordable SIM plans and handset plans
DITO’s SIM-only Plans and Handset Plans are both available in four tiers: P588, P888, P1,288, and P1,688. All plans offer unli local calls and texts to all networks and 12-month Prime Video subscriptions. Where they differ is in the data allocation, which can range from 8GB to 100GB depending on the plan you choose.
We also loved DITO’s selection of premium handsets. We had the following options: Samsung Galaxy A04, Samsung Galaxy A05, Samsung Galaxy A14 5G, and the new Samsung Galaxy S23. We went for the Samsung S23 so we could test out DITO’s 5G network capability. Take note that a cash-out might be needed for the Handset Plans depending on the phone you want to get, although some you can get for free with your plan.
3. Huge data allocation
We were surprised at how much data is included in the plans considering their affordability. Even the plan P588 comes with 8GB of data, which should be enough to last any average user one whole month.
To give you a clearer idea, 8GB of data gets you close to 100 hours of internet browsing or up to 16 hours of standard-definition video streaming. That’s pretty impressive. And you can get up to 50GB-100GB data depending on the Mobile Postpaid FLEXPlan you choose.
4. Other amazing DITO benefits and features
There are also a number of other benefits worth mentioning:
- Data rollover – If you don’t use up all your data in a month, the remaining data can be carried over to the next month (up to 1 month rollover only).
- Automatic SIM card registration – Once you set up your new SIM, you will get a text prompt for SIM registration. After you fill out your details, your new DITO postpaid SIM card is immediately activated.
- Advance Pay – Can get you up to 40% discount on your total bill if you settle your monthly subscription fees 6, 12, or 24 months in advance. Great for scoring huge savings!
- Choose your number – Allows you to choose your own number or retain your existing one when applying for a DITO Mobile FLEXPlan.
- Earn DITO Rewards – For every DITO bills payment settled through the DITO App, you automatically earn rewards points equivalent to 3% of the paid bill. If payment was made via other channels, you earn 1% of the paid bill in rewards points.
5. Good network connectivity and fast data
As a new network, you might be wondering: Is DITO internet fast? Based on our experience, yes. Of course this might depend on where you are (as with any network), but at a prime location such as Metro Manila, we had no problem at all, especially with a 5G-capable device. To be honest, we were quite impressed with DITO’s data speed, which we tested by loading various websites and apps and, of course, streaming videos.
As for network signal, while you can’t expect to have a full-bar signal at all times, we had no problems making calls or sending texts at all.
Is DITO Mobile Postpaid FLEXPlan worth it?
Our verdict: Is DITO Mobile Postpaid FLEXPlan worth it? Very much so.
