Bad news to all milk tea lovers of Manila: you’re probably consuming milk tea way past the recommended intake per week.
Dietician and nutritionist Charmaine Manango spoke on evening news show 24 Oras to share that milk tea is a drink full of empty calories that can potentially lead to Type 2 Diabetes and heart problems.
She said that we’re only supposed to drink at most one large serving of milk tea a week—yes, a WEEK.
Looks like we’ll have to start cutting down our daily dosage!
