This Cat Sits Like a Human—and He’s Winning the Internet’s Heart

Cats do their own thing. But some cats… leave a mark. Arkira is one of those cats.

This little puspin first came into Anton Llaneta’s life on a rainy night in 2020. He was a stray, surviving a rough start, and somehow found his way back to Anton’s home after a near-tragic encounter with a dog. From that moment, he became part of a growing family of rescued cats.

What makes Arkira stand out isn’t just his ability to sit upright like a tiny human. A pair of accidents when he was young left him with lower-body paralysis. Today, he gets around with a specially adapted wheelchair, though he still has some medical hurdles like feline idiopathic cystitis, a common bladder issue in male cats.

Anton has spent years learning how to care for him: careful feeding schedules, cleaning routines, and creating safe, stress-free spaces. Despite these challenges, Arkira’s personality shines. He’s playful, affectionate, and occasionally feisty—proof that being differently abled doesn’t mean he’s any less of a cat.

Online, Arkira has become a favorite among animal lovers. His TikTok account, @lablab.arkira, has grown to over 416,000 followers and 23.2 million total likes, with videos documenting his daily life as a differently abled cat. One clip showing Arkira sitting upright like a tiny human has already earned 65,700 likes, while another video telling his life story has gathered around 27,000 likes. Through these clips, Arkira continues to win over viewers who follow his journey.

But more than the likes and shares, it’s his bond with Anton and his siblings that really stands out—a quiet story of patience, care, and companionship.

“Taking care of a differently abled pet isn’t always easy,” Anton says, “but once you get the hang of it, it’s just part of life. And the love they give? Priceless.”

Arkira’s story is a reminder that imperfection doesn’t mean inability—it can be a different kind of amazing.
