Things Just Got Real Guards Stop a School Play, Thinks Fight Scene is Real

Take a look at showbiz’s newest stars. Seriously. These kids from the De La Salle Harlequin Theater Guild were so good, that during a skit held at the the Henry Sy, Sr. Hall grounds to promote an upcoming production, the university’s security had to stop the skit, thinking the heated argument in the scene was for real.

According to The Lasallian’s Facebook page, which posted about the incident, that even if security was told many times it was just a skit, they kept trying to break the scene up. That escalated quickly.

The Facebook post reads:

DLSU’s Harlequin Theatre Guild held a skit at the Henry Sy, Sr. Hall grounds last November 10 to promote their upcoming production entitled “Fish Hair Woman” which will run from November 19 to 22 at the Teresa Yuchengco Auditorium.

We bet the guild didn’t tell anyone it was just a skit. But who knew they were the ones who were going to be surprised?

In an unexpected turn of events, the University’s security guards intervened during the skit in what appeared to be a misunderstanding. The security guards were said to have thought that the students participating in the skit were in the middle of a heated argument and stopped interfering only after being informed repeatedly that it was just a skit.

Now that is good acting! We wonder, why are we watching actors on TV who can’t even act? Why not put these brilliant kids on instead? Or could this just be a marketing stunt?
