This Japanese decluttering guru may have won over the internet with her lifestyle philosophy (and memes), but fans were still amazed when she turned up on the Oscars red carpet. Aside from the actual awards themselves, Marie Kondo’s appearance may be one of the most hyped results of the night.

Maybe because it was unexpected, or because she still managed to imitate a bursting ball of sunshine on the red carpet, but people could not stop talking about it!

One obvious reason is how much they loved her dress. Designed by Jenny Packham, the full-length dress was made of delicate lace with dark pink and white flowers sequinned on top.
