This September, the spotlight turns to Rockwell’s Proscenium Theater as it prepares to debut, not just as a new stage, but as the setting for 9 Works Theatrical’s staging of The Bodyguard: The Musical.
The musical is inspired by the 1992 cinematic phenomenon starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner. It reimagines the story of global superstar Rachel Marron and the former Secret Service agent assigned to protect her. As danger draws near, so too does an unexpected love, set to a soundtrack that defined a generation.
The Bodyguard: The Musical contains the iconic hits that made the film unforgettable, including “I Will Always Love You,” “I Have Nothing,” “Run to You,” and more—now performed by a powerhouse cast of local and international talent. This musical was a hit on London’s West End and was staged in over 15 countries worldwide.

The Proscenium Theater features a 16×16 meter stage, fully automated fly lines, and an orchestra pit. Even the farthest seats in the Dress Circle, just 20 meters from the stage, are said to offer a clear, immersive view.
Proscenium Retail Row offers a curated selection of dining destinations just steps from the theater doors, for pre-show conversations or post-performance celebrations. Power Plant Mall is also nearby for more options.
Tickets for The Bodyguard: The Musical go on general sale starting July 9, 2025, at 10 AM via premier.ticketworld.com.ph.
