At night, we were visited by Ascott’s Executive Sous Chef, Chef Orlando Reantaso, to help us prepare an Italian-inspired dinner for a movie night!
Chef Reantaso showing us the ingredients for the Bolognese
As the “officially-appointed” student of Chef Reantaso for that night, I got to taste our “co-created” Bolognese sauce (all I really did was mix the sauce since I had no idea what I was doing hahaha)
Here are some of the kitchen equipment and tools you can use in the room’s kitchenette
VOILA! Here’s our homemade pasta masterpiece!
Along with the Bolognese, we also got the chance to feast on their MUST-TRY signature pizzas: The Gardener’s Pizza, Four Cheese and the Carnivore Pizza.
Uh uh honey.. Presenting, the Gardener’s Pizza
With the poging-pogi sous chef of Ascott Makati, Chef Orlando Reantaso!
To end the day, we wore the ultra comfortable and classy bathrobes while feasting on our ‘homemade’ pasta and trio of pizza courtesy of Chef Orlando and watching the horror film “Sinister”.
Our modified hands-free version of a ‘selfie in Makati before watching “Sinister” for our movie night..
After watching the sinister ‘Sinister’, we tried to cleanse our visual palate by going out at night and checking out the Friday night Greenbelt parties just 10-15 minutes away. Then, we immediately went back, had some coffee at the nearby coffee shop at Glorietta 5 and slept the night away in comfort!
Breakfast Buffet and Lunch @ Cafe on the 6th
Finally, it’s time for the famous hotel breakfast buffet! The complimentary breakfast buffet for guests of Ascott are offered at Cafe on the 6th. However, if you’d like to enjoy breakfast in the comfort of your own room, you may request to do so, as well.
As the name suggests, Ascott Makati’s dining centrale is located on the 6th floor and lets its guests enjoy premiere comfort with its comfortable seats, luxurious-looking wooden furniture and a carpeted floor while in the company of great food!

You may also request for customized scrambled eggs, which are heavy on the stomach btw

Before leaving Ascott,(awwwwww), we had our ‘despedida’ lunch at Cafe on the 6th, too. We had a ‘Mexamerican’ (Mexican-American) set featuring a couple of fruit juices, quesadillas, bacon cheeseburgers and a mountain of fries smothered with cheese!
Raffy’s choice of Mango juice and my choice of Apple juice 🙂
Whew. That was one heavy meal and such a great way to end our Ascott experience! I really recommend dining at Cafe on the 6th to complete your whole stay at Ascott (though it would still feel bitin since there was so much more to try 🙁 ). Thank you very much to Ms. Pam, Ms. Satchi, and the rest of the Ascott Makati staff for letting us truly maximize our overnight stay at Ascott!
At first, I was somehow ‘shy’ to stay at Ascott Makati due to its ‘exclusive corporate vibe’, but once you experience their excellent service and the premiere feeling of privacy that they promise first-hand, everything will feel like home but just in a high-class setting. Deserving of their 2013 TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice Award, 2013’s Philippines’ leading serviced apartments, and a long list of other awards, Ascott Makati truly lets you experience living in premiere comfort while being right in the heart of the city of Makati.
