The Addams Family : A New Musical Comedy Now Playing at the Resorts World Sentosa Singapore (09-28th July 2013)

Yes, the macabre couple (Gomez and Morticia) together with the entire bizarre family is finally in Singapore to do a series of shows. The Addams Family (A New Musical Comedy) would run from 9-28th of July 2013 at the Grand Festive Theater of the Resorts World Sentosa. If you grew up watching The Addams Family on TV, a beau of halloween, dark comedy, gothic elements or even if you are one who likes to pull out a prank on others, this is a show you would not want to miss. The Addams Family was originally created by the legendary American  cartoonist Charles Addams in the 1930’s for The New Yorker. Gomez, Morticia and their family were brought to the masses in the 1960’s classic television show The Addams Family. A whole new generation connected with the spooky family during the 1990’s with the release of The Addams Family and Addams Family Values .

 

 

 

 

Who is your favourite character in The Addams Family?  Wednesday, Pugsly, Gomez, Morticia, Thing, Lurch, Grandma, It, or Uncle Fester? I fell in love with this morbid and eccentric clan; still can recall how they would tan under the moonlight! That’s one dark lifestyle at its best. And it’s the humour that makes The Addams Family well-loved for ages.  I also find myself being drawn to Gomez Addams, the dapper dresser patriarch of the family. He is just so mysterious and the way he loves Morticia is so passionate (the kissing up Morticia’s arms and calling her ‘Cara Mia’) is insanely sweet. How about Uncle Fester? His devilish and childish character is what makes him affable actually in my opinion; someone who you can confide with anytime (just ignore that cute bald head). I may want to call it, love for the weird. Aren’t we all (weird) at times? ☺

 

 

 

 

Wednesday Addams has captured the hearts of many. Come on,  with the signature Wednesday Dance and her favourite toy (headless Marie Antoinette doll) who wouldn’t?  The Addams Family, A New Musical tells the tale of Wednesday Addams, an offbeat young woman and “princess of darkness” who falls in love with a respectable and smart young man, much (she fears) to her parents’ dismay. Wednesday begs her father not to tell her mother, Morticia Addams about her new crush, but things quickly take a turn for the wacky and weird when her family hosts a dinner for her “normal” boyfriend. Come laugh along with the rest of the audience at as the spooky The Addams Family reminds us that all families have issues and there’s no such thing as “normal.”
