Tatak Botante: Anti-Epal Photo Contest

Tatak Botante, in cooperation with the National Alliance of Youth Leaders and COMELEC, in partnership with ClickTheCity, DZUP, Philippine Collegian, and WHENINMANILA.COM, and also brought to you by UP Paralegal Society and UP Broadcasters Guild, invites all Filipino citizens to advocate for a clean and honest National and Local Elections this coming May 2016.

Tatak Botante: Anti-Epal Photo Contest

The Anti-Epal Photo Contest is part of Tatak Botante’s advocacy campaign on voters’ education and electoral reform. It takes good advantage of social media as a powerful platform to expose public officials who are “epal”, a term that originated from the Filipino word “mapapel” which is synonymous to “attention-grabbers” in English; generally, those public officials who post personal campaign paraphernalia in government projects fully-funded by taxpayers’ money and solicit sole credit for these undeservingly.
