Tarlac to enter into province-wide lockdown soon

Tarlac province will go into lockdown starting this Sunday, March 29. The province recently recorded its first 2 confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases with at least 17,000 other individuals listed as persons under monitoring (PUMs).

Tarlac Governor Susan Yap announced via video message that the province will begin its lockdown starting 12:01 am of Sunday, March 29.

Yap also released some information on the confirmed cases. One patient is a 75-year-old female from Barangay Patalan in Paniqui town while the other is a 39-year-old male from Barangay Pinasling in Gerona town.

Tarlac currently has 17,040 persons under monitoring, 174 patients under investigation with mild symptoms, and 39 with severe symptoms.
