This expansion follows the successful launch of its first Philippine branch at Power Plant Mall.
The brand began as a simple home project started by founder Cherriann Wong. Over the past five years, it has transformed into a major business, selling more than 200,000 pairs of shoes across four retail locations in Singapore. Now, the brand is bringing its full line of functional and stylish footwear directly to Filipino shoppers.
Sunday Staples focuses on creating simple, versatile shoes in neutral colors that easily match any outfit. The brand is best known for its Cloud Series, which features thick, soft padding designed to support the feet during long hours of walking or standing, all while maintaining a slim and elegant shape.
According to Cherriann Wong, the decision to open a physical store in the Philippines stems from a clear need in the local market for shoes that balance everyday usability with modern design. She noted that opening a store allows customers to see the products up close, test the comfort for themselves, and enjoy a more personal shopping experience.
To make the shoes practical for the local environment, Sunday Staples uses special materials built to handle heat, moisture, and sudden rain. Their shoes feature durable synthetic leather, as well as waterproof linen, satin, and suede that maintain their clean look despite humid weather.
The shoes are also tailored to fit Asian feet comfortably. Design details include extra padding at the back of flat shoes, flexible knit fabrics, soft straps, and a wide range of low and block heels. The new collection at SM Mall of Asia introduces updated loafers, decorated flats, and new color options for their most popular slides and heels.
With its newest branch, Sunday Staples aims to become a reliable everyday footwear choice for local shoppers, providing practical solutions for busy workdays and weekend outings alike.
