A modern greek mythology series is coming to Netflix soon and our geeky hearts can’t wait

Netflix’s got something in store for anyone who ever had a phase where they absolutely obsessed over greek mythology (myself included).

One of their upcoming titles is a modern take on greek and roman mythology and it will be streaming sometime this year!

(‘The Selection’ Will Soon Be Heading to Netflix)

Entitled Kaos, its summary reads: “This genre-bending series puts a modern twist on Greek and Roman mythology, exploring themes of gender politics, power, and life in the underworld.”

The project is being led by The End of the F***ing World‘s Charlie Covell who is acting as creator-writer for the new show.

“[Kaos is] basically like a contemporary reimagining of Greek Mythology, so it’s a big show,” Covell shared with Deadline back in 2019.

“It’s a 10-hour series for Netflix, and hopefully with a kind of Game of Thrones scale — but tonally it should [feel] End of the World-y, in terms of its humor and its soundtrack and the look of it.”

All3Media’s Nina Lederman and Brightstar’s Tanya Seghatchian and John Woodward are producing the show. Details on its cast and characters have yet to be announced.

It is set to premiere in 2020 though no specific date has been given.
