Sunshine Cruz’s Daughter, Angelina Cruz, Shares Her Mom’s Love Advice

In case you missed it, Sunshine Cruz’s daughter Angelina Cruz made her television commercial debut last month – and she did it with her mom. Although the two had done photo shoots together before, this was the first time they did a commercial together.

Not only were the mother-daughter tandem able to work on this important milestone together, but they also got to do it for a brand that they both believe in – Silka. Angelina shares that she grew up dreaming of having beautiful skin like her mom’s and since Sunshine uses Silka, a brand that has been around for 20 years now, Angelina ended up using it and falling in love with it, too.

Sunshine admits that she was initially worried about all of the crying scenes in the commercial, but Angelina ended up surprising her.  “She cries better than me,” she exclaimed at the online press con. Angelina, on the other hand, shared that she was happy to have done it with her mom as she was able to get the guidance that she needed during the shoot. Watch the TVC here:

Every mother of a teenage daughter will be able to empathize with the commercial, which showcases the love and support a mom has for her daughter when she goes through a breakup. As for whether they could relate to the content of the commercial, the two admit that they cry a lot while watching movies. They also admit that they have arguments from time to time that make them cry, but they also fix things afterward. As for love advice? Angelina shares some words of wisdom that she learned from her mother when it comes to love: “Wag magpadala sa sweet words and false promises,” she reminds us. [Rough translation: “Don’t fall for sweet words and false promises.”]

For those who are not feeling confident, Angelina also reminds us: “Love yourself, know your worth, and never lose sight of your value as a woman. You are beautiful as you are and you define beauty.” Angelina exudes maturity and confidence, and it was honestly hard to believe that she is only 19 years old. We can’t wait to see what else she has in store in the future.
