When in Cebu, I knew that the place I needed to head straight to from the airport for my first meal in the city was Street Burger by Gordon Ramsay. I went with a friend who lives near the area, and we were ready for a hearty, satisfying lunch.

Walking into the restaurant, the vibe felt laid-back yet thoughtfully designed. Clean interiors, attentive staff, and a giant portrait of Gordon Ramsay on the wall immediately set the mood for a relaxed, enjoyable meal.

We started with a variety of sides. The coleslaw and macaroni and cheese had that comforting, homestyle quality my friend—who’s from Texas—said reminded him of what they would make back home.

The chopped salad combined iceberg lettuce, red cabbage, chickpeas, provolone, and red onion, but the real standout was the spicy salami. It added an unexpected kick to an otherwise classic dish.

The spicy chicken wings deserve their own mention. Salty, flavorful, and packed with a punch, they were a welcome twist on traditional BBQ, sure to surprise anyone ordering them.

For the burgers, we tried the Frenchie and the Italian. Each was served with crispy, thick-cut fries. The Frenchie came with blue cheese and crispy shoestring potatoes, giving it a rich, indulgent flavor, while the Italian featured marinara sauce and a peppery leafy green—probably arugula—that added a fresh, Italian-inspired twist.

Drinks were just as memorable. The mango shake my friend ordered, which he described as “an ambassador to the Philippines,” was fresh, creamy, and topped with a slice of mango—perfectly balanced and refreshing after the savory dishes.

We also had the sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream—warm and comforting, with rich sweetness that paired perfectly with the creamy topping.

Every bite, from the sides to the burgers to the shake, felt thoughtfully executed. Street Burger combines casual dining with unexpectedly refined flavors, making it a spot both locals and visitors should check out for a satisfying, flavor-packed lunch in Cebu City.
