Steve From “Blue’s Clues” Just Gave a Sentimental Message About His Abrupt Exit From the Show

It’s a nostalgic and sentimental day on social media today thanks to a heartfelt video message from Steve of the iconic children’s show “Blue’s Clues”.

The video message, which was posted on the Nick Jr. Facebook page, was in celebration of the 25th anniversary of “Blue’s Clues”. Yes, it has been 25 years since the show first premiered on the small screen!

In the video, Steve Burns who plays Steve, the main character/host of the show for the longest time, gets real about his abrupt exit from the show in 2002. After 6 years on the show, Steve was replaced by Donovan Patton as his younger brother, Joe.

Steve talks about his leaving the show, acknowledging that it was abrupt and that the sudden change was challenging. He also spoke to the viewers, which were the people who grew up watching him on “Blue’s Clues”, and also talks about the many changes and difficulties they’ve all gone through in 25 years, ultimately thanking the audiences for giving him countless opportunities while playing the character.

“I guess, I just wanted to say after all these years that I never forgot you, ever,” Steve says to the viewers in this tear-jerker video.
