8. Sign up for a trail run.
Before 2015, I was not into running at all. Then I got the opportunity to join trail runs and they turned out to be really fun! Each one was a challenge, but you don’t need to be a hardcore runner to join fun runs or even half-marathons. And the views on the trail make it all worthwhile.
Of course, this means you’ll have to train and get into the mindset and rhythm of jogging, but trust me, there’s nothing quite crossing the finish line, knowing all your hard work paid of!
7. Climb a mountain.
You don’t have to go for the hard ones immediately. Go for easy trails and travel with a group to make the journey more enjoyable!
6. Surf the waves.
Baler, La Union, Zambales, Siargao – these are all places you can visit to feel the thrill of riding the waves. Don’t be disheartened if you fall off your board the first few times. That’s all part of the experience and you’ll get the hang of it eventually.
5. Go nature tripping.
Visit a mangrove forest, a marine sanctuary, or go birdwatching to feel at peace while surrounded by the cool greens and calming blues of nature.
4. Take a step back in time.
Whether it’s a walk down the cobblestone streets of Ilocos Sur’s Vigan, Bataan’s Las Casas Filipinas de Azucar, or Manila’s Intramuros, you’re sure to experience the charm of a long gone era with its kalesas, Spanish-style houses, and ornate interiors.
