Soon You Can Stream the Award-Winning Cinemalaya Movie “Iska”

If you’re looking to watch more Filipino movies, Iska is one you can add to to your to-watch list. The film is an award-winning Cinemalaya entry and it will soon be available for streaming on Netflix.

According to the description, Iska follows “a devoted grandmother [who] contends with poverty, violence, an abusive husband, and societal demands as she raises her young grandson with autism.”

According to the streaming platform, the movie can be streamed starting November 19, 2020.

Iska is one of the full-length features of the 15th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival, which was held in 2019. The movie won Best Actress for Ruby Ruiz, Best Sound, and Best Screenplay.

Aside from Ruiz, the movie stars Soliman Cruz, Ricky Rivero, Jonic Magno, Jomari Angeles, and RK Bagatsing. It is directed by Theodore Boborol.
