PBA courtside reporter Apple David has officially hard-launched her relationship with basketball player Chad Gammad.

On TikTok, Apple shared a 27-second TikTok video with the young basketball player. As of writing, the video has garnered over a million views, but the comments section was turned off.

Social media users expressed further criticism toward the 33-year-old courtside reporter over her relationship with the 18-year-old basketball player.
Apart from this video, she also admitted during a TikTok Live that their term of endearment is “baby.”
“Hindi ako ma-o-offend dyan kasi baby ‘yung tawagan namin… Tapos nagagalit pa siya kapag tinawag ko siyang Chad. Dapat baby,” she said on the TikTok live.
“Call sign namin, ‘baby,'” she added. “Even in public, kahit nandyan pa coaches niya. Kahit nandyan pa teammates niya, ‘baby’ [ang tawag ko sa kanya].”
In late May 2026, the courtside reporter was criticized for her alleged relationship with the basketball player due to the huge age gap.
In a way to address criticisms from netizens, she maintained that their relationship just “clicked” and she also has a “choice” to date the young basketball player.
“Di niyo talaga na gegets no? Sa buhay ba natin lagi tayong nakakapili? Paano yung mga bagay na biglang dumating nalang na sitwasyon tapos sometimes you can’t just explain it. I cannot explain it,” she said in a live broadcast back in May 2026.
