Smart Communications Turns its Stores Into a Hip Lifestyle Cafe (3)

The Digital Profiler and iQueue brings the shopping experience to a whole new level. The Digital Profiler lets you browse all the gadgets and plans available, while the iQueue is a queuing system that lets you go around the mall while you wait for your turn

The Smart Store experience starts with the Digital Profiler, a touch-screen panel where those interested can find out more about the features and plans so they can make an informed decision. If they want to speak to an agent, they can get a number at the iQueue, an automated queuing system that allows customers to roam around the mall and attend to other needs while waiting for their turn. The system sends a text message to inform them once their turn comes.

Red Aduna, Smart Store’s most excellent salesman

I came in 45% sure of getting an iPad. I came out 100% sure. My agent, Red Aduna, took the time to explain the various data plans of the new iPad Mini. Like I mentioned earlier, it was more like a conversation with a good friend. I’m every agent’s worst nightmare because I always have a million questions, but Red patiently assisted me, answering all one million questions with a smile. Because of the relaxed setup, we ended up talking for 30 minutes. I guess the informal setup really makes you comfortable. A warning, though. Stay away from Red if you’re avoiding spending. That guy is an excellent salesman. So excellent that when the time comes when I will actually get the iPad, I will get it at the Rockwell branch so he can assist me again.

After our conversation, I decided to stay a bit and observe the interaction between the other customers and agents. I quietly sat in the Reading Nook and watched everyone do their business. I was amazed at how all the agents were happy to serve the customers. From security to the agents and the girls assisting customers exploring the gadgets, everyone went above and beyond to make sure subscribers are guided every step of the way. When Red saw me just sitting and watching everyone, he said that he will assist me again as soon as he finishes talking to another customer (who also looked happy).

The new Smart Stores have definitely upgraded. The new look is great, but what matters more is the upgraded customer service. The cafe setup adds to a great lifestyle experience that helps customers find the gadget or plan best suited for them. The only thing missing is coffee.
