Who else here grew up with ‘Sesame Street’? ‘Sesame Street’ was a huge part of my childhood and one of the shows that really shaped my life as a kid. So when I saw the ‘Sesame Street’ LEGO set, I was absolutely blown away. Nostalgia came rushing back and I got so excited to get my hands on it.

Aside from designing with LEGO, Ivan has recently started building miniatures. He also enjoys collecting comic books and Muppet memorabilia. “I grew up on Sesame Street,” he shares. “The show was one of my first teachers. It taught me how to read, write, count, and laugh. I’m also an enormous fan of Jim Henson. His creations have played an important role in shaping my creative career.” Ivan adds that he still has audio recordings of himself as a toddler to this day mimicking the different voices of Sesame Street characters. “I have so many fond memories of that show as I think many Filipinos do.”
Created with all the delightful elements of 123 Sesame Street, the new set is packed with authentic details from the famous New York City neighborhood. From Bert and Ernie’s apartment, in which Bert famously pleaded with Ernie to remove a banana from his ear so he could hear better, to Big Bird’s nest, where the grown-ups finally met Mr. Snuffleufagus in person – builders will marvel in Sesame Street’s most memorable moments.
