Season 3 of ‘The Witcher’ Has Apparently Already Been Approved

Although ‘The Witcher’ only premiered on Netflix about a week ago, both critics and fans have been raving about it all over social media and beyond. This really isn’t surprising, though, seeing as how people have been clamoring for a new fantasy series to obsess about ever since ‘Game of Thrones’ ended and how the Witcher world already has a fanbase thanks to its books and video games. (And let’s not forget Henry Cavill cast in the titular role!)

It seems that things are going so well that Netflix actually already renewed the show for Season 2 before the first season even came out on the streaming service. And it seems that a Season 3 is in the cards, as well.

According to wegotthiscovered.com, sources say that Season 3 will be based on ‘Time of Contempt’, the second full-length novel of the Witcher book series by Andrzej Sapkowski. It might take a while to get there, though, seeing as Season 2 is still a while away.

We are screaming internally because we can’t wait, but we know it’s going to be worth it. In the meantime, read the books and play the video games, so we can geek out together? If you’re already a full-blown Witcher geek, please do message me on When in Manila Angeline on Facebook. I desperately need someone to geek out with.
