San Francisco Mayor London Breed announced that San Francisco will be on shutdown.
With the coronavirus spreading like wildfire, Mayor Breed is instituting a 24-hour curfew banning everyone from leaving their residences.
Beginning tonight, no one is allowed to leave their homes unless for a doctor’s appointment or a quick run to the grocery store.
Mayor Breed said that their rule matched what was being enforced in Italy who is badly hit by the pandemic.
The ‘City Shut Down’ is set to last the next 3 weeks.
Six Bay Area counties announced a “shelter in place” order for all residents. The term ‘shelter in place’ means, unless your work falls under the list of “essential businesses,” you are ordered to stay home.
