The Social Action Medical Students Association–San Beda (SAMA San Beda) proudly celebrates its 10th founding anniversary on June 25, 2025. Established in 2015, SAMA San Beda serves as the social arm of the San Beda University College of Medicine, dedicated to shaping future physicians who are socially responsible, community-oriented, and committed to health equity.
For the past decade, SAMA San Beda has led medical missions, health education drives, and advocacy initiatives focused on addressing the country’s healthcare gaps. These efforts have brought medical students closer to underserved communities, fostering clinical competence and a deeper understanding of the social realities affecting public health.
Guided by the values of service, integrity, and social consciousness, the organization has become a platform for students to apply their medical knowledge beyond the classroom—engaging directly with communities and promoting sustainable change. It continues to nurture aspiring physicians who are not only skilled in their craft but also rooted in compassion and community engagement.
As part of its 10th anniversary celebration, SAMA San Beda will hold a medical mission in Brgy. Sampaloc, Tanay, Rizal, reflecting its commitment to reaching those in need. The initiative seeks to provide essential healthcare services while reinforcing the importance of student involvement in grassroots health efforts.
The celebration will culminate in the Alumni Homecoming Dinner on July 28, 2025, at The Noble Table in Marikina City. This special gathering brings together alumni and current members to reconnect, honor shared experiences, and renew their commitment to the organization’s mission.
This milestone marks not just ten years of service, but a legacy of unity, purpose, and impact. SAMA San Beda reaffirms its dedication to forming compassionate, competent physicians who uphold the Bedan spirit and remain steadfast in serving the Filipino people.
