Some stories make us laugh. Others remind us of the people we love, the choices we regret, and the truths we sometimes find difficult to face. This November, Saglit Lang, Totoo Na – The Re-Run brings these familiar yet deeply personal experiences to the stage in a collection of seven short plays that reflect the many sides of being human.

Following its successful run in June 2026, FirstSun Production revives the theater production with works by five Filipino playwrights: Rene O. Villanueva, Vincent De Jesus, Alfonso I. Dacanay, Glory Ann Nacional, and Caleb Alvarez. Blending comedy, drama, and relatable storytelling, the production explores love, identity, family, sacrifice, and the unexpected turns that shape our lives.

From Alfonso I. Dacanay’s Eyeball, which examines online connections and first impressions, to Vincent De Jesus’ Over a Cup of Coffee, a story of honesty, identity, and family acceptance, each play offers a different perspective on relationships. Rene O. Villanueva’s Walang Iwanan delves into the complexities of forbidden love, while Glory Ann Nacional’s Wagas and Babae sa Dilemma ng Bra explore heartbreak, sacrifice, and self-discovery. Completing the lineup are Caleb Alvarez’s Hele, a touching story of family and homecoming, and Sa Mga Mata ng Bata, which humorously examines good manners and the values we impart to others.

Giving life to these stories is a talented ensemble of professional actors with experience in television, film, and theater. The cast features Kevin Posadas and Glory Ann Nacional in Wagas; Mr. Migui Moreno, Rachel Pullon, and Timothy Lusabio in Hele; Daven Noveno, Zach Pracale, and Glory Ann Nacional in Over a Cup of Coffee; Rian Aragon, Timothy Mendoza, Zhyra Villanueva, and Ric Caballes in Eyeball; Denise Aquino and Elez Catubig in Sa Mga Mata ng Bata; Chase Romero, Jannelle Ariza Bautista, Rian Aragon, Jelen Tan, Elez Catubig, and Say Escandor in Babae sa Dilemma ng Bra; and William Orcullo Jr. and Mr. Migui Moreno in Walang Iwanan. Through their diverse performing backgrounds, the actors bring distinct personalities and emotional depth to stories that audiences may find familiar in their own lives.

Directed and produced by ALIW and LEAF Award Best Director Rodel J. Mercado, the production reflects FirstSun Production’s continuing commitment to theater that goes beyond entertainment, creating opportunities for audiences to connect, reflect, and see parts of their own experiences onstage.
