In an exclusive report by 24 Oras, Ruru appeared more agile and in better condition on the set of Lolong: Pangil ng Maynila, sharing his doctor’s advice.
“Nagulat din po siya sa akin actually, na sobrang bilis ng healing, but syempre, sabi niya ‘Huwag ka pa rin magstu-stunts na magiging delikado at baka posibleng bumalik ‘yung injury (He was actually surprised at how fast I healed, but of course, he still said, ‘Don’t do any stunts that could be dangerous or might cause the injury to come back),'” he said.
Prior to this, the Lolong actor posted an Instagram reel showing his return to taping after four days of bed rest. In the post, he was still reliant on a wheelchair to allow his pulled hamstring to recover.

Despite his injury, he remained positive and strong-willed, never showing any signs of slowing down. He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his team for taking care of him and making the necessary adjustments.
“Ang laking pasasalamat ko sa buong Lolong family. Sila ang nag-adjust, nag-revise ng script, nag-alaga, at nagparamdam na hindi ako nag-iisa—kahit pagod at kulang sa tulog (I’m incredibly grateful to the entire Lolong family. They were the ones who adjusted, revised the script, took care of me, and made me feel that I wasn’t alone—even when they were tired and lacking sleep),” he shared.
He added: “Totoo talaga—hindi lang talento ang bumubuo ng isang proyekto, kundi malasakit at pagmamahalan sa isa’t isa (It’s true—it’s not just talent that makes a project successful, but also care and love for one another).”
Earlier this month, the Green Bones actor was hospitalized after tearing his hamstring. He got injured while taping for the beloved action primetime series Lolong: Pangil ng Maynila.
