#3. The Jerseys of Run 800
The Run 800 features color-coded running jerseys for every runner that joins. The jerseys are mainly white, but the colored highlights is a bonus for many runners who are used to having the same jersey colors as everyone else, regardless of distance. 3k runners get red; 5k runners get blue; green for 10k; orange for 16k; and black for 21k. I’m personally looking forward to getting the black-edged jersey and the really cool Finisher Shirt of Run 800!

#2. The Race Course
If you are looking for a challenge and will run the 10k, 16k, or 21k categories, respectively, then you’re in for a treat! Well away from the rather mundane race courses set at Bonifacio Global City, Makati, and even Mall of Asia, these distances will have participants of Run 800 experience running along the coastal road of CAVITEX. Many runners will set feet for the first time on CAVITEX as they run along the ranging stretch of race course of Run 800. If there was a road race to rival the Condura Skyway Marathon, this would be it!

#1. The Advocacy
Run 800 features a very unique online registration system. Move aside, traditional pen-and-paper method, digital is here! A user-friendly interface at the 711 Run 800 website has drop-down menus for participants to use. After inputting their personal details, the runner is given an option to select a city which will receive food and medical assistance; the top 3 cities vote-wise will receive said assistance from the 711 group. Great advocacy from the Run 800 organizers, I say. Oh yes, Manila is currently leading, so I’m personally happy about that as I voted my home city.
