In a recent interview with entertainment host Ogie Diaz, actor Robin Padilla has expressed that he wishes for his daughter Kylie Padilla to get back together with her husband, Aljur Abrenica. The two were reported to have separated in February, after tying the knot in December 2018. Robin admitted that the young couple split due to a “third party.”

Padilla reportedly told Diaz in the interview, “May anak sila eh. Ayaw ko namang lumaking mga [walang ama]. Pamilya pa rin ako.” Kylie and Aljur have two sons together, Axl Romeo and Alas Joaquin.
“Sana huwag tumagal,” the actor said regarding his daughter’s separation. “Kung magbabalikan sila, huwag nilang patagalin. Kailangan kaagad.”
Padilla did acknowledge that he, too, is separated from Kylie’s mom, and that he feels he isn’t in the best position to give advice. “Pagdating sa marriage, ano bang maia-advice ko eh failure din kami ng mama niya. Anong credibility ko?” Padilla said.
Instead, he shared that the best advice he could give his daughter was this: “Sabi ko anak mahirap ‘yung ganyang sitwasyon ng puso mo tapos wala kang gagawin. Dapat mag-ensayo ka, ibalik mo ‘yong fighting [spirit] mo kasi iyan ang nakalimutan mo. Kinausap ko iyan isang beses lang bago mag-Father’s Day. Sabi ko sa kanya, ‘Lumaban ka ulit.’ Fighter kasi iyan eh, totoong fighter iyan. Balik mo ‘yung dati mo.”
The rumors of Kylie’s split from Aljur first circulated in February when the actress cryptic posts on Instagram about relationships. She issued a statement regarding the split here.
