Robi Domingo’s fiancée, Maiqui Pineda, recently opened up about her diagnosis of an autoimmune disease called Dermatomyositis. According to her, the symptoms she experiences include muscle weakness, inflammation, and skin rashes.

On Friday (August 4), the soon-to-be missus shared her journey on social media including photos where Robi Domingo is seen by her side. “What was supposed to be an exciting year of wedding planning, preparing for a new home, and working on my career, life had other plans for me – I got sick,” she said.
Despite the unfortunate turn of events, Pineda remained positive, saying, “I already started treatment but the journey to recovery is far from over. There are good days but there are still bad days. I am hopeful that this is just temporary and I will work on getting better one day at a time.”
“Thank you to everyone who sent prayers and messages of love and support! It meant a lot to me,” she added.
Robi replied in support of Maiqui, “Really proud of your progress and your courage. You got this. Everyone is here for you and with you. Gotchu, Maiqs.”

In line with current events, the Kapamilya actor/host got emotional during his contract signing with ABS-CBN. “This moment has given me a deeper appreciation of what it is to be a KAPAMILYA. I just couldn’t stop thinking about my fiancé and her condition while signing this contract. There has been that tug-of-war of feelings so maybe that’s why the floodgates just kept pouring,” he wrote on social media.
“Thank you to ABS-CBN for keeping me home and choosing me. I am at my best because of you,” he mentioned.
Furthermore, he reassured his partner by saying, “Maiqs, whatever happens, I choose you. Can’t wait to sign our [marriage] contract.”
Maiqui could not help but apologize to Robi for making him feel that way. “Huhu. Sorry you were so emotional that day especially since you just came from the hospital to be with me. But congratulations as always!!! Ily. We will work on this together,” she commented on his post.

Apparently, today (August 6) marks their fifth-year anniversary. The bride-to-be dropped a candid video of the two of them that’s simply romantic, paired with a snippet of “Here With Me” by d4vd that goes “I don’t care how long it takes/As long as I’m with you/I’ve got a smile on my face/Save your tears, it’ll be okay/All I know is you’re here with me.”
“As long as I’m with you,” Maiqui reiterated before greeting Robi, “Happy five years!”

Maiqui Pineda is Robi Domingo’s college batchmate, whom he started dating in 2018 before asking for her hand in marriage in November 2022 during their vacation in Japan.
