Paul McCartney surprised his mostly baby-boomer audience when he called out 28-year-old singer Rihanna on the stage at the Desert Trip festival!
Organized by the people behind Coachella, Desert Trip, also dubbed as “Oldchella” is a rock festival that features rock legends catering to an older generation of fans.
Rihanna and Sir Paul collaborated on the song “FourFive Seconds”, alongside Kanye West last year.
Calling Rihanna to the stage, Sir Paul addressed his fans, saying, “We finally found someone under 50.”
The festival features other acts such as Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, The Who, and Roger Waters.
With this maiden event to what would be an annual festival, Desert Trip is expected to be the highest-grossing festival of all time with a legendary roster of acts, as well as premium tickets.
