Rice Lane Asian Market Will Take You On A Fun Asian Gustatory Experience

Rice Lane thirst quenchers

Let’s start with Coco Loco (Php150). Coco Loco is made from real coconut milk mixed with condensed milk and a sugary syrup. I enjoyed the rich sweet taste of the coconut cream.

Matcha & Oreo (Php165) is another must-try. If the chunks of Oreo-infused matcha bars aren’t enough to entice you, I don’t know what will. All I can say is I am not a fan of matcha, but I honestly enjoyed this one.

The Lychee with Ginger Basil (Php130) is a great drink to clean your palate. It’s minty and has a soothing effect. I highly suggest you save this for when you’re done with the main dishes, so your tastebuds can get ready for the desserts.

Rice Lane desserts

Here comes the best part: dessert!

First up is the Sapin Sapin Mousse (Php150). It has a light and airy texture and a sweet and creamy tang, which is perfect if you’ve just been through a heavy meal. Makes it easier to consume.

Next is the Mango Pana Cotta (Php60). Served in a cute shot glass, it has a rich, natural mango flavor.

My favorite is the Ube Cheesecake (Php75), which is ironic because I don’t eat anything ube. It’s so enticing, though. Besides, how can you resist anything made by CCA graduates?

Right at that moment, there are only two things I knew: (1) the chefs are awesome at what they do and (2) there’s no way I will pass up an opportunity to sample any of their treats.

So, for the first time in a very, very long time, I put something ube-based in my mouth. It tasted like ube ice cream, only creamier. It has the right amount of sweetness and crispy coco biscuits. I was surprised. It was awesome. So I went for another scoop.

Rice Lane chef darryl

Here’s one of Rice Lane’s heroes: the very friendly and accommodating chef, Daryl Cruz. He made sure we all had a fun time here. Thanks, chef!

Rice Lane alcoholic drinks

But the fun’s not over yet.

What’s the best thing after a hearty meal? Booze!

Rice Lane offers a range of alcoholic drinks (all local) that you can order and enjoy inside the restaurant.

One interesting thing about Rice Lane is that it’s not just a restaurant. It’s also a cool store that sells a wide range of food products from spices to cooking ingredients and, of course, rice.
