Rhuigi Villaseñor’s Mom Sends a Sweet Reminder Ahead of Bally’s Milan Fashion Show

Rhuigi Villaseñor’s new Bally women’s and men’s collections will be revealed during Milan Fashion Week. The fashion show is scheduled for later today (4 pm Milan time/11 pm Manila time). Prior to this, the Filipino-American creative director for the Swiss luxury fashion house received a sweet reminder from his mom via text message which he shared on an Instagram post.

“Though we are not with you on this fashion show, I know you will nail it,” she began. Rhuigi has been very vocal about his interest in fashion stemming from his Filipino mother’s “artistic sensibility and tailoring skills.” As also the founder of Rhude, he  credits his mom for his “understanding of garments and construction.”

She continued, “Please do not run. Walk gracefully and wave. Look at the camera. Do not shake hands, not until you bowed your head and are ready to go backstage.”

“Again, do not run! While walking, you can shake hands with all of your supporters, etc! Above all, do not look at people. Focus on the camera!”

Finally, she concluded by reassuring his son. “Love you, anak. We will watch it tomorrow morning here in L.A.”

Meanwhile, Rhuigi captioned the screenshot, “Dear mama, this one’s for you.”
