Rakista Radio, in partnership with 12 Stone Records, will be launching its very first “Rakista Radio Volume 1: Rakrakan Festival ‘14” compilation album at Rakista Jam Tayo LXX – its titular monthly gig and one of the longest-running regular gig series in Metro Manila – at Bih-Zahr Restobar, Quezon City this coming Saturday, May 02, 2015. Performing at this historic launch are selected Rakrakan Festival ’14 artists: Save Me Hollywood, Maybe Thursday and Jejaview coming from last year’s Move stage; and Saydie, Imbue No Kudos, Mr. Bones & the Boneyard Circus, Subculture, Diachroma, and Days of January from the Mosh Stage, the aforementioned lineup guaranteeing an epic and explosive night for everyone in attendance.

“Rakista Radio Volume 1: Rakrakan Festival ‘14” is an 18-track compilation CD of selected Rakrakan Festival ’14 artists from all three stages; and was created for the purpose of giving fans a tangible memento to relive and relish their Rakrakan Festival experience, as well as introduce them better with the festival’s artists and their music. In addition, Rakista Radio and 12 Stone Records aim to expose OPM artists further in the local scene with this project and, hopefully and possibly, help catapult them internationally. Featured artists from the Mosh stage are Diachroma, Days of January, Saydie, Imbue No Kudos, Mr. Bones & the Boneyard Circus, Lostthreads, and Even; from the Move stage are Cebu City’s Drive Me to Juliet and Neverending Weekend, Maybe Thursday, Faintlight, Jejaview, Save Me Hollywood, Absolute Play, and Maryzark; and from the Groove Stage are Kartel at Lion and the Scouts, The Chongkeys, and Tricia Rivka Garcia.
