PWR Tag Team Title Match: Zayden Trudeau and Bolt vs. John Sebastian and Crystal vs Alexander Belmonte III of The Network©
With James “Idol” Martinez missing in action, Alexander Belomonte III had to defend the belts alone. AB3 bulldozed the competition with his sheer strength at the start of the contest. He piled up the rest of the opponents on top of John Sebastian for a pinfall attempt at one point. Soon enough, the two teams slowed AB3 down with their respective offensive moves. Zayden Trudeau showed his wrestling prowess as he locked in a double sharpshooter on Crystal and John Sebastian. However, AB3 was there to break things up. Crystal and John Sebastian punished Bolt with a top rope Hart Attack and a Superkick-Styles Clash combination!
John Sebastian gains the pinfall!
AB3 tried once more to regain control of the match with a pay-in on Sebastian. However, he was downed by the Otaku Driver of Bolt and an incredible 450 Splash of Zayden Trudeau. John Sebastian took advantage and shoved Trudeau out of the way to cover AB3 for the 1-2-3! John Sebastian and Crystal obtained the Tag Team Titles in this match. With this win, Crystal became the first female PWR competitor to hold a PWR title. John Sebastian, on the other hand, became the first PWR wrestler to hold a singles title (PWR Championship) and a tag team title. Even with this loss, AB3 showed a lot of heart as he valiantly tried to defend his team’s crown on his own.
PWR Championship Match: Ralph Imabayashi © vs. Chris Panzer
The match was short yet hard hitting as both men delivered some stiff shots at each other. Ralph got the quick win with his Senketsu pile driver to retain his belt. After the match, Rederick Mahaba berated Panzer on the microphone and challenged anyone to face Ralph for the PWR Championship. Former PHX Champion and PWR’s “Heart and Soul” Bombay Suarez answered the call!
PWR Championship Match: Ralph Imabayashi © vs. Bombay Suarez
Bombay delivered some hard shots to the PWR Champion to start the match. Bombay delivered his Kick of the Day Enzugiri on Ralph and followed up with the Bombshelter slam. Ralph, however, got his leg below the rope to break the pin! Bombay sent him to the outside of the ring. That was a costly mistake as Ralph used the steel steps to deliver a diving dropkick on Bombay. Ralph distracted the ring official before he hit the sonic crusher on Bombay through the chair for the pinfall victory. After the match, Ralph and Mahaba assaulted Bombay with a steel chair to add more damage to the former PHX Champion.
Rosales lifts Mahaba for the Castigo Brutal F5!
Debuting wrestler Jan Evander breaks Quatro’s fingers!
PWR Path of Gold Match
The Path of Gold match included the debut of “The Professor” Jan Evander, PwD (Professional Wrestling Doctorate). Professor Evander used a unique technique that involved snapping his opponent’s fingers to temporarily incapacitate them. The Midget Champion Trian Dela Torre set the record for the shortest time in Path of Gold. TDT was pinned in 10 seconds by Logan Ollores after the Kakaibr0s delivered a double team maneuver on the Midget Champion. Vintendo and Vlad Sinnsyk also made a brief appearance as the latter was trying to get his belt back from the Raging Gamer.
Ken Warren and JDL: the last two men standing
Jake De Leon, Ken Warren, Quatro, and Miguel Rosales were the final 4 competitors. Quatro was eliminated after being rolled up by JDL thanks to the distraction from the Council of Trabajadores. Miguel Rosales, who entered at no. 1, was heavily favored to win this match. However he was eliminated by JDL after an attack from PWR Champion Ralph Imabayashi. Ken Warren won the match after he delivered a Wi-Fi on the Senyorito! Ken Warren also logged the record for most individual eliminations this year with 5.
Ken Warren chose PHX Champion Mike Madrigal as his opponent for Wrevolution X after the match. He knocked out Madrigal before posing with the PHX belt and the Path of Gold Trophy to end the show.
Ken Warren with the Path of Gold Trophy
PWR Path of Gold 2018 paved a great road to PWR’s biggest event of 2018, Wrevolution X. We have found out the PHX Match, but there’s still one more event to go before we know how PWR’s show of shows will shape out. PWR returns to Shaw 500 on April 22, 2018 for their next PWR Live Show. I would like to thank Philippine Wrestling Revolution for inviting us to cover this event. Shout out to Potato Corner for hooking us up with some free fries.
