These were our pizzas at their initial stages. We just mentioned the toppings of our choice to the pizza makers, and they did a good job of properly distributing the toppings around our dough. The staff was friendly too.

Project Pie #1

The first pizza fresh from the oven: Our very own fusion of Hawaiian and Italian Pizzas.

Project #1:  Pizza with two types of cheese: Mozzarella and Gorgonzola

Toppings: Italian Sausage, Prosciutto, Onions, Basil, Pineapple and Black Olives.

 Project Pie #2

Project # 2: For our second choice, we opted for one of the seven signature pizzas. It is a white pizza topped with Grilled Chicken, Red Onions, Cilantro, Mozzarella, Gorgonzola and BBQ sauce.

Save room for dessert! The menu also offers dessert pizzas!

Dessert Pizzas are a different breed altogether, so it’s no surprise that building your own dessert pizza is not an option. Nevertheless, the choices they have at Project Pie will keep your sweet tooth satisfied!

This Strawberry-Mango Nutella pizza is truly a winner. Best eaten when warm, the Nutella is a wonderful complement to the sourness of strawberries; its thick consistency just adds more depth to the flavor of this dessert pizza.

 Tips:

  1. Don’t overdo when it comes to toppings. If you put too many toppings, chances are, they won’t be cooked properly. In addition to that, you still want to distinguish the flavors of your pizza toppings so try not to exceed five toppings (excluding the cheeses).
  2. Do not leave without trying their dessert pizzas. These are great ways to cap off your meal. Banana Nutella and Strawberry-Mango Nutella are recommended.
  3. Eat your pizzas while it is still warm since the crust becomes quite tough once cold.
  4. Be patient. The place is always packed and long queues are expected especially during peak hours (lunch time and dinner time). You could read the inspiration wall while waiting, with witty quotes to entertain you.
  5. The best time to come here are late lunch hours: 2 PM to 4 PM, the queues are not very long and you could easily find a table.
  6. Be creative! It is best to create your own combinations rather than order the usual stereotypical pizzas…. but then again, it is up to you, it is your pizza after all.
  7. Bring your friends. Pizzas are best shared with groups, plus you get to sample more pizzas too.

When in Manila, you should definitely visit this place. Overall, it was a good experience especially for a pizza lover like me. I would definitely come back for more.
