Talented 21-year-old singer-songwriter from Timmins, Ontario, Preston Pablo, has been nominated for three Juno Awards at the upcoming Juno Awards of 2023.
The Filipino-Canadian artist has been recognized for his outstanding work in the music industry, being nominated for Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Single of the Year for “Flowers Need Rain”, and the Fan Choice Award alongside global icons like Avril Lavigne, The Weeknd, Tate McRae, and Shawn Mendes.
Born and raised in Canada, Preston takes great pride in his Filipino heritage and culture. His father is Filipino, and his mother is Russian, which has influenced his music and style. Preston’s music is a reflection of his diverse background and experiences, making him a unique and authentic voice in the Canadian music industry.
He made his solo debut in high school with the single “OMO,” instantly garnering around 648,000 Spotify streams. The songs that followed have all hit millions of streams, racking up nearly 20 million streams independently.
His music is a fusion of different genres including pop, R&B, and soul, and his lyrics are deeply personal and meaningful. Right now, he’s signed to Universal Music Canada.
